Winnemucca, Nevada

We left Riverton this morning and headed west toward Reno.
We planned on stopping at Winnemucca, and after about 7 hours of driving
arrived at Walmart. On the way into Walmart, we passed the Nevada Highway
Patrol Station, which in next to Walmart.
We parked way in the back of Walmart’s Parking lot, which is
right next to the Highway Patrol station.
Cindy think’s this should be a very safe Walmart. Right now there are 7 other RV’s and several
truck that look like they are staying the night.
We did ask at the Customer Service desk and were told that
it was fine to stay for the night.
We are headed toward Klamath, California to visit the
Redwoods. We are not sure how long we are going to stay, but will be traveling
the next two days to get there.
After that we plan on heading up Highway 101 along the
Oregon coast. We probably have to be back in Utah sometime in July. Cindy wants
to bottle some of the apricots and other fruit.

We have stayed at the Golden Bear RV Resort (Passport America) twice now, and enjoyed the view of the river. Like many Passport parks this is not special, and certainly not a resort as they advertise...but again, we sure enjoyed it, especially for the price.
