Last week was Cindy's birthday. She has had a single speed adult tricycle that was hard for her to pedal, so I got her a new 7 speed one that she seems to be doing better on for her birthday. We also went out to a Chinese restaurant.
Saturday we drove from Yuma to Phoenix to take some things to Cindy's son Scot that we had brought with us from Utah.
It was a nice day but with all the driving, I was beat by the time we got back to Yuma. We were gone for almost 11 hours, most of it driving. I don't like all the traffic in Phoenix even on Saturday.
We had a few things to see and buy while we were in the area. Our first stop after leaving Scot was Mulqueen's Fabric store in Mesa. I needed some thread for my quilt machine and I can do better there than anywhere else. Cindy needed some embroidery thread for a project she is starting, so we got it there. JoAnn's Fabric in Yuma closed their doors last March, so we really don't have a good place here in Yuma to buy thread. Yes, there is Grandma Jo's but they don't seem to carry all the varieties of thread Cindy likes. she wanted to find colors to match the material she is using.
Cindy found some quilts and a sewing bag she thinks she would like to make and I got pictures.
After Mulqueen's we went to Superstition Ranch Market because we like their produce (and their prices) better than the stores here in Yuma.
Cindy is working on her eighth quilt and we have only been here 3 1/2 weeks. She says a lot of the pieces were done at home in Utah, but she does stay busy sewing.
I am looking forward to when they start shuffleboard and I even had someone call me today about when we were starting. I had to tell him I really didn't know, but we could start when ever we get enough people.
Thanks for visiting.

We Are Still Staying Busy
Yuma, Arizona High 88 Low 59
The last few days was a lot cooler and at night it has been nice for sleeping. The high Thursday was in the lower 70's. There was a lot of wind for 3 days. The air quality was very bad.
We have been busy making quilts, Cindy sewing and I have been cutting and pinning for her. We have been here two and a half weeks and she finished her 7th quilt yesterday. Cindy does tell me that the reason she got so many finished was that she made up kits before we left Utah and all she had to do was sew them together.
We also have been getting a start on the quilt classes which start after the first part of November.
There are more people getting here all the time but we are a long way from having everyone here.
Yesterday we took some friends to an all you can eat fish and fries at The Foothills Eatery. Every one filled up and the fried fish was very good. The fries were also good. If you are ever in Yuma The all you can eat is on Fridays. I recommend it. We went there last year also.
I think I have all the repairs complete (I hope).
We plan on going to Phoenix next Saturday to take some things to Cindy's son Scot. While we are there we are going to visit one of the quilt stores in Mesa.
Thanks for visiting.

It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like ---- Halloween
Yuma, Arizona High 96 Low 64
It has been warm here in Yuma for us. I know it's because we are not use to the heat. I checked on the weather back in Utah and it is predicted to get to 32 degrees.
We have had lots to do since we have been here. I noticed our water heater leaking and bought a new one at Home Depot. My friend Eddie help me change it.
We both got our flue and pneumonia shots. I had a sore arm for about three days and didn't quite feel right for a couple of days. Cindy didn't get her shots until yesterday and is still going through what I'm over with.
Cindy had a broken tooth and we went to San Luis to Dr. Sergio Bernal in Mexico. He is a lot more reasonably priced than even the dentists in Algodones and they are less than US dentists.
We were driving through a neighborhood northeast of us and some of the decorations kind of made us laugh.
