Riverton, Utah High 71 Low 47
Today started off really nice. It has been nice for the last few days after all the rain we had the first of last week. The nights have been cool enough for good sleeping.
I got some more pictures of Cindy's flowers and some of our blossoming trees.
Then this afternoon it clouded up and rain is in the prediction for the next few days with cooler temperatures. It has been said about Utah weather "If you don't like what it is now, wait an hour and things will change." This is especially true this time of year.
We have both been busy trying to get the garden in shape to plant. Cindy has been spending a lot of time with Linda going through their Mom's stuff. There sure is a lot.
IN between working on the garden I've got 4 quilts quilted and am now working on one that will take a lot of time to complete. No all over designs on this one.
We want to go see Stephanie's new home which I said was about 45 miles from the middle of nowhere in San Juan county. It is about an hour from Moab or Monticello on what looks like some rough roads. It should be interesting.
We are taking the fifth wheel and at first were going to stay on their property but after looking at the roads, I'm not sure we can get the truck and trailer to their place so we are going to stay in a RV Park, probably in Monticello and drive to their house and see if I can get the trailer there.
This trip will be to take some things to the grand and great grand kids. We bought a real nice wooden rocking horse for the smaller kids at a yard sale and are looking forward to giving it to them.
This probably won't happen for three weeks or a month, but we would like to get there before it gets too hot in southern Utah.
Thanks for visiting.

It's Cold Here
Riverton, Utah High 53 Low 47
Saturday we drove back to Utah. Yesterday was cloudy but the temperature wasn't too bad. Today has more than made up for the nicer day. It has rained all day with snow predicted tomorrow. The awful 4 letter word. We definitely have turned into Arizonans.
We got word that we had another great grand daughter born about 9 hours after we got back to Riverton so we went to Provo to see her and her family. She was about a month early and will be in newborn intensive care for at least 2 weeks. Sorry, no pictures. (parents don't want us to) She Weighs just over 5 pounds. The nurse told us she can't suck yet and that she has to learn to eat before she can be released.
Cindy was happy to see some of her flowers in bloom in spite of the cold weather. She has been busy cleaning up the yard and cracking the whip to get me to help. We have got a lot done but still have lots to go. Cindy wants to plant new raspberries and tells me we are not taking the fifth wheel out until they are planted and the garden is in shape. lol She says four years of asking is enough and is finally putting her foot down.
The apricot tree is loaded with blossoms. Looks like a good crop if it doesn't freeze.
Cindy went down today to help Linda with their Mom's stuff. She still has lot to go through. Tomorrow we are taking the truck to haul some of the stuff here.

Still Busy In Yuma
Yuma, Arizona High 98 Low 66
It got really warm today. We were going to head for Utah, but with all the storms predicted, we decided to stay until Saturday. The only pressing thing we need to get back for is Cindy needs to help her sister go through their Mom's stuff to see what they want to keep.
Cindy also has a lot of things for me to do.
Cindy's oldest daughter recently moved to Southeastern Utah almost to Colorado. We want to take the fifer to see their new house (if you go to the middle of nowhere, you are only 50 miles from their house). It is really out in the wilds.
Here in the Park, we have been really busy. Shuffle board is down to using only 2 courts, but is still going on.
Last Friday we had a happy hour at the clubhouse. It was Bring Your Own Meat and something to share. We didn't have a large turnout but everyone got well fed.
Sunday we had a karaoke at one of the neighbors with ice cream for everyone. It lasted 2 hours.
Tonight we had an owners pot luck at the clubhouse and again everyone was well fed.
Do you see the trend? all the get together's seem to have food involved, and then I wonder why I don't seem to be able to loose any weight. Oh well, round is a shape too.
