We Made It To Yuma

Yuma, Arizona             High 74 Low 57

The weather here is sure different than Utah. When we first got here the days got up to 88, and about the low 60s at night. This morning it got really windy which is supposed to last all day.

We spent the last three days cleaning our yard. We had more sand on our patio than I've seen since we have been coming here. I bagged up about 100 pounds of fine sand and lots of leaves. Yesterday we bagged up 4 big bags of leaves and finished bagging another with weeds and more sand.

A while back, we changed insurance Companies to save a lot of money. They sent out someone to look at our place. They almost didn't want to insure us because we had lots of tree branches brushing against our patio cover. I told them I was going to trim the trees as soon as we got here. I spent one day trimming the trees and piling  the branches to be hauled away by the Park landscaping people. It looks like I took down a whole tree, but it is just lots of branches.

We had all the leaves picked up, but with the wind, we are getting lots more. We will wait until the wind stops to pick up any more.

Back in Utah, it has got below freezing for a few days, so we got away just in time. I did promise Cindy we could go back to celebrate Christmas with family and she spent a few days before we left decorating for Christmas.

Thanks for visiting.

Halloween In Our Neighborhood

Riverton, Utah           High 70 Low 43

It got a little warmer after all the rain.

The other two neighbors got their decorations up. There are a lot of different things. They are a lot different than Barbieland.

Penny had to get in this picture.

I got one more quilt finished. This one is with Christmas colors, so I used a jingle bell pattern.

We are trying to get ready to leave for Yuma in about two weeks. Hopefully it won't be quite as hot as it has been.

Thanks for visiting.

The Rest of The Barbieland Pictures

Riverton, Utah      High 58 Low 42

We are getting a taste of winter, It rained most of the night and is supposed to keep raining all day and tomorrow. The weather guessers are saying snow down to 7600 feet today and 6000 feet tomorrow. Since we are at about 4300 feet, that is getting close to getting us.

Now the rest of the Barbieland pictures. And, no, we haven't been to the Barbie movie.

We have a few more Halloween display in our neighborhood, but I haven't got any pictures yet.

And, of course, I finished one more quilt. Cindy really likes lots of pieces.

This one is various shades of purple with a purple back.

Thanks for visiting.

Snow In The Mountains and More Halloween

Riverton, Utah       High 76 Low 49

It got a lot cooler and we had rain in the valley for 3 nights. There was snow (the awful four letter word) in the mountain tops.

Since I took these pictures, most of the snow, except the very top has melted.

A neighborhood near us decided to decorate for Halloween after the Barbie movie. I read that there were 18 houses decorated that way, but I ended up with so many pictures, that I am going to have to divide them up between a couple of posts.

Each home had a little different theme. The neighbor hood was talked about on TV and we decided to get pictures during the day when there was no one there because we thought the traffic would be horrendous at night, probably with no where to park. We had to walk up and back between the front of the houses where there is a walking trail. The roads are on the back of the homes.

More pictures next time.

Thanks for visiting.
