They Overfed Us

Riverton, Utah        High 68 Low 50

The weather has been nice the last few days. The weather guessers are predicting the nice days to coming to an end with highs Friday at 54,  and lots more rain.

Saturday was Cindy's Birthday, so I took her to Texas Roadhouse Friday evening. The food was excellent, but for us it was way too much. We had their cactus bloom as an appetizer (it is a onion with a coating and fried). We also got a large salad with our chicken meals. By the time we had part of the onion and the salad, we really didn't need the chicken. Fortunately we were able to bring a lot of it home for another day.

They gave Cindy a bowl of Ice cream for her birthday.

Saturday we went to Cindy's daughter for a surprise birthday party. Again there was lots of food. We got to visit with the grandkids and some of the greats. There were lot of people and, yes, Cindy was surprised. I forgot to get any pictures.

We had one of our Yuma friends mail a quilt for me to quilt. They live in Washington in the summer.

The next one is one of the kits Cindy got at one of the yard sales, We thought it should be bigger, so we made a lot more blocks.

The next two are Cindy's creations.

Thanks for visiting.

And The Rain Came Down

Riverton, Utah          High 57 Low 49

It started raining Saturday and the weather guessers predict rain every day until Wednesday.

They are also predicting we will get all of Octobers normal rainfall in three days. So far they have  been accurate. We got lots of rain and with it lots of thunder.

Poor little Penny is afraid of thunder and wants to be held all the time. I seem to have a constant companion right now. Last night she wanted to snuggle up by me and had to touch me, which makes me wonder how Cindy gets any sleep with a little dog by her at night.

Other than that we have started to get ready to head south, which will be in about 2 1/2 weeks.

We got our doctors appointments out of the way. We seem to be in pretty good health.

There is still lots of things to do to get ready to go. Cindy has been putting project boxes together for quilting when she get there. Plus we are taking lots of food with us this time. She is still getting lots of tomatoes from the garden, but they have slowed down.

And I have stull been busy quilting. I even had two from my customer this last week.

The next ones are Cindy's.

Lots of butterflies.

Thanks for visiting.

Not Much Going On

Riverton, Utah           High 86 Low 57

It is still a little warm during the day, but cools off at night. It is still above normal for the time of year.

Other than some more quilting, We didn't do much this week. Cindy did pick a bunch of tomatoes and made a delicious soup out of them.

We did go to another yard sale that had fabric and came home with what you will never guess, more fabric and kits.

Cindy made a crib quilt and I got it quilted for the new baby.

This is one more that I quilted.

We do have a busy week coming up, Doctors appointments, Penny's shots, and a birthday party for our great grand-son. I think he is 7, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for visiting.
