Port Orford, Oregon
High 55 Low 46
We had a nice short drive today. It took us about 3 hours
with stops. We are further north and it is colder.
We are staying for a few nights at the Port Orford RV
Village, RV Park. It is the only park in the area that lets us in this time of
year with Passport America. The road to our site is a lot narrow, but with the
help of the owner, I was able to get into it. It was the only site they had
available for the 4 nights we will be here. Also staying here most of the time
are Gordon and Juanita Pierce, some bloggers we met in Apache Junction a few
years ago. Gordon doesn’t write much anymore and feels that since he is here
most of the time, he would have a hard time having interesting blogs.
Cindy did get some pictures at one of the ocean view
turn-offs we stopped at. The ocean looked pretty rough, but I did see some
surfers at one of the stops.
After we got set up, we drove into town and went to the
Quilt store called The Quilters Corner (big surprise that we went). But the only thing Cindy
bought was a pattern for some nautical pot holders, or they could be made into
a quilt. NO MATERIAL.
The next 4 are part of the kit. Cindy says she might make it into a kids quilt.
We will do some sightseeing tomorrow and Monday. There are
several museums and 2 light houses in the area.
Thanks for visiting.
Looks like you are enjoying your travels, short driving days are wonderful.
