Made it to Arizona

Fort Mohave, Arizona                 High 57 Low 36

We left home Friday morning. There was so much snow on the slide toppers that the slides wouldn't come in. It was only 10 degrees by the way. I finally had to climb on the fiver and rake the snow and ice off the toppers and we were finally able to get them in. The auto reset breaker kept tipping and it was so cold that it almost immediately reset. It took several times to finally get the slides all the way in.

Then when I got the truck hooked up, the level-ups didn't want to retract. The manual reset had to be reset several times. I guess hydraulics don’t like cold weather.

But we final got going and had an uneventful drive to the Virgin River Casino parking lot, where we joined about 30 other RVs boon docking overnight. When we woke up it was 27 degrees. It was cold, but still much warmer than Riverton’s high. We passed and were passed by many RVs heading south on the way to Mesquite.

We got away fairly early and after a four hour drive, reached the Riverside Trails Adventure RV Park in Fort Mohave at about 12:15. It was about 50 degrees and got a little warmer as the day went on. It almost felt like spring compared to what we have had.

We went to the AVI Casino for their buffet this afternoon and overate. It was good. This Casino is only about 3 mile from where we are located.

After the sun set it cooled off a lot.

We will be here for four nights and then are moving closer to Quartzsite.

Thanks for visiting.

  2. That excessive cold weather sure messes with RV's alright. Temps are slowly on the rise here in the southwest finally. About time.
