Yuma, Arizona High 102 Low 69
It has been extremely warm for us lately. We have gone for bicycle rides around the Park in some of the mornings but it warms up really quick and then is too hot to hardly go outside.
We have been busy working on quilts. Cindy had a pattern we decided to do. It isn't finished yet but this is what it looks like so far:
We have a couple of kits we plan on doing next. They are a lot harder than the one we are nearly finished with. I say we because I do most of the cutting and pinning for Cindy.
We have been exercising social distancing and have stayed away from being too close to other people.
Yesterday we got an email from the people that have the quilt shop at the Arizona Market. They told us that they had got in a lot of new $6.00 a yard fabric and we selling it from their home here in Yuma. Of coarse we had to go see what they had. There were only 4 or 5 people there, so we were still able to maintain distance. We haven't had enough fabric here so we came home with about 60 yards. Hopefully it is enough to keep Cindy busy.
We still don't know how long we will be here and I hope Cindy doesn't get too bored. It would help if we were able to go for walks one in a while.
Thanks for visiting.
YES!!! More fabric!! You are so lucky you have access. I'm in need of backing for three quilts and have nothing. That quilt is a beauty!! I'm actually getting kind of burned out, so I'm trying to sew easy ones. They go faster. Hang in there! Hope the hot weather holds off.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you will need to do your walks early and hunker down after to beat the heat.
ReplyDeleteNice looking Quilt.
Be Safe and Enjoy the solitude.
It's about time.
