This Proves How Crazy We Are

Riverton, Utah    High 80 Low 55

The weather is still quite warm with the weather guessers predicting cool weather and more rain for the week-end.

The reason I say we are crazy is because we traveled almost 1900 miles to see a rest stop on I 90 in South Dakota! We wanted to see the statue Dignity of The Earth and Sky, Which is at a rest-stop in South Dakota. The first night, we stayed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The second night we stayed in Chamberlain, South Dakota, Which is almost to the Statue, Which was built in 2016. It stands about 50 feet high with her back to the Missouri River.

In the next picture you can see the people to get an idea of how big the statue is.

We read that you needed to see it a night, while it is lit up. It was only 3 mile from our Motel, so it was easy to go back after dark, to see it all lit up.

And here is Cindy, if you look closely.

The next pictures are from the quilt store in Chamberlain, which is the only place you can get the Dignity panel. We ended up buying the whole quilt kit. And for Nancy, The quilt store has lots of cowboy and southwest material, in case she ever gets there.

This was by the quilt store and Cindy wanted it's picture.

It was a long and hurried trip, but we both wanted to see the statue. We had perfect weather with a little wind on the way home and are glad we went.

Thanks for visiting.
