At least it cooled off a little after hitting almost 100 early in the week. We have got some wind, but not as bad as sometimes.
The Park had an Italian Dinner pitch-in. Several groups were together and each group pitched in for their own table. We had a group of 8, while our neighbor was with 28.
One of the local charities puts on a yard sale twice a year. We went to it and the next picture is all the people in line, waiting to go in.
Last summer, our Palm trees got distressed and I think it was because the Park irrigation system cut back on the water too much, and so I decided to put my own sprinklers to the trees. There is a conduit going under our front patio and I found a root in the pipe. When I measure it, it was 20 feet long. that is what I'm holding in the next picture. It wasn't very big in diameter, but if it got bigger, it could cause a lot of damage.
Thanks for visiting.
Looks like everyone enjoyed the Italian Dinner.
ReplyDeleteTrees find water one way or another, even if it means not sharing with other plants.

It's about time.
Your park does fun stuff. Great pictures. Ugh those roots ... lucky you got it out of there. They can sure cause havoc!!
