Medieval Festival

Yuma, Arizona          High 89 Low 50

It has been warm the last few days and is predicted to continue through next week.

Tom, the Park resident whom is always thinking up new ideas for entertainment, thought it would be fun for everyone to dress up in Medieval costumes and divide the Park into 4 different Realms. Each Realm had a different name and we each did different events each evening for a week. We called our Realm The Dragon Slayers and our event was a catapult throwing dragon tears which had to be speared. They were actually water balloons, which if properly speared, resulted in a small shower to the person spearing. This is  Tom.

This is our catapult, which broke after the first throw. They had tested it for 2 weeks before our event but he used a little bit light plywood. He rebuilt it with heavier plywood, which worked a lot better.

The restrooms were a ways away from the events, so Lily offered her golf cart as transportation to anyone that needed it.

This balloon (dragon tear) got speared properly. Notice how she got a shower.

There were lot of fun and desserts and it was a good time for everybody.

This is Lily, our court jester.

Thanks for visiting.
