Festival Of Trees

Riverton, Utah           High 53 Low 35

Today was warmer than usual with lots of sunshine. We got more leaves picked up.

We went to the Festival Of Trees, which is a fund raiser for the University Children's Hospital. It was a lot larger than I remember it being in the past, but it has been a while since we went to it.

The displays had starting prices on them, and we found out that they were bid on and usually went for a lot more than the starting price.

There were different categories' and I will start out talking about the ginger bread displays. Most were very elaborately made out of edible cake and frosting and cookies. The bases weren't edible. Most of the ginger bread displays had sold tags on the information sheets.

We hadn't expected it, but there were also lots of Christmas quilts which I will put on the next post.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. Wow ... those gingerbread houses are amazing. That's one thing we never did as a kid ... or even when I was older. There were no gingerbread houses at our house. That would be a great money raiser! Can't wait to see the quilts.
