Finally Got To Yuma

Yuma, Arizona          High 71 Low 42

We left Riverton Friday morning. We drive the 700 miles to Yuma in one day, but it is seeming like a longer and longer day. It takes about 12 hours with stops. This time it seemed to wear both of us out. Maybe it's that thing called age that makes it feel so long.

When we left it was 19 degrees outside and the car said it was 17 when we went over some of the summits along I15.

Saturday we went to some yard sales with some friends from the Park, and wouldn't you know, at one of the yard sales Cindy found some fabric, actually quite a lot. Not only that, the lady told her that she was probably going to sell her stash in the near future and took down our phone number so she could call Cindy when she does. Cindy was in heaven.

Since then we have been working on our yard, getting the weeds and all the leaves picked up, along with a lot of trimming trees and bushes. We are still not finished, but we have made a lot of progress.

Tomorrow morning I am going to play shuffleboard.

Sorry, no pictures today.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. It seems with the passing of time, we are finding it better to break our travels up over more days, even if it means stopping along the way.
Sounds like you could be saving some money.
Stay Safe and Enjoy your shuffleboard.

    It's about time.

  2. You are not alone. I take two days to get to Tucson and I need three days to recover. I call no fair on the yard sales. No one has ANY fabric around here!!! There's more coming your way soon however!!!
