Trivia With A Twist

Yuma, Arizona       High 71 Low 46

Tuesday the wind blew very hard. As a result the air was filled with dust. We couldn't see the nearby mountains. I guess thats because we are in a desert. Today was still a little cool but we are supposed to get a warming trend.

We went to an activity called Trivia with a twist. The Hosts were Tom and Lilly. The theme was the  60s and a lot of the questions were about things that happened in the sixties.

Our flower children.

Tom is the one in the Park that thinks up all the different activity's. Lilly usually help him put them on. The audience seems to enjoy this kind of thing as much as the participants.

There were 9 teams of 3 that were dressed up in some kind of costume and the premise of the first part was based on the TV show Jeopardy.

After answering the question part, the teams were given other tasks to perform, like Pictionary but they drew pictures of a song and the team mates had to decide what song it was and then sing the first part of the song.

One task was to keep balloons in the air without them hitting the floor. They started with 2 balloons and kept adding one more to keep in the air until they had one hit the floor. The person with the most in the air was the winner.

Notice the white balloon going to the floor.

One group had to use a straw to pick up an M&M and place it on a straw placed through  the bottom of a cup and balance the M&M until they got 4 of them balanced.

This was catching ping pong balls in a cup and stacking up the cups untin you used all your cups without spilling cups.

This was one of the outlandish costumes.
Tom's and Lilly's costumes were also pretty wild.

The picture below is a different version of Pictionary. Notice the shows judge dressed up like Judge Judy.

We all had a good time either watching or participating. Tom is always coming up with something new and different.

Thanks for visiting.
