Thanksgiving And Getting Ready To Go Back To Utah

The weather has been perfect, nice during the day and cool at night.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at some friends and had a good meal and then spent some time visiting.

We brought our truck with us this time to be able to haul some of our stuff to Utah. We have been getting ready and it looks like next Thursday will be the best travel day, according to the weather guessers.

We have some doctors appointments in Utah and Cindy wanted to have Christmas with a party for kids, grandkids and great-grandkids this year. I think we are having 26 people to our home this year. We plan on being in Utah for about three weeks and then come back to Yuma.

This is only part of this load, and we are bring the truck back to get a second load to take back in April.

There is a lot of fabric to take to Utah because the fabric store at the Arizona Market in Yuma closed and discounted all their fabric. Cindy doesn't think she will ever have to go to another fabric store, except we had to go buy a back two days ago. So you can see where "never" is going.

It is supposed to snow through Utah every day except Thursday, so that is why we picked that day to travel.

Catching Up

It has cooled off a lot here in Yuma. From high 80's and low 90's to upper 60's. Yesterday it rained lightly most of the day, with more predicted later in the week.

Sorry, I haven't got any photos. 

Cindy is still busy making quilts and I have been playing shuffle board three times a week.

Penny has been going to the small dog park most days and we are getting a lot more small dogs. So far, we have had 14, but that still is down from when we used to get 25 or so. But there are still lots of dogs running around, some trying to get in trouble.

We are slowly getting stuff ready to take back to Utah when we go for Christmas.

There is not much going on in the Park.

Goodbye To Friends

It is still warm here but the weather guessers are predicting cooler temperatures late next week.

Last night we went to La Boys for dinner. It was a farewell dinner for our neighbors, and friends, here in the Park. They sold their lot. They have been trying to sell since last winter. They are Canadians, and it has got too expensive for them to travel here. Last spring they sold their 5th wheel and are glad to sell their lot. I have to admit, I will miss them.

We got the Elvis room this time, which we haven't got before. It is smaller than the other two rooms and won't accommodate as many people as the other rooms.

Ron is on the far right side of the next picture, and Anna is to his left. They are the ones going back to Canada.

Other than that, I have been playing shuffle board three time a week and Cindy has been taking chair yoga every other day.
