Busy, Busy

Riverton, Utah        High 82  Low 82

According to the weather guessers, we were warmer here than in Yuma today. They have had flooding and we haven't had enough rain to talk about.

Cindy has been very busy with her garden. I didn't get any pictures of the tomatoes, but she got a nice crop. And here are some pictures of her honeydew and squash'

This week I had a High School Class reunion. This is going to tell how old I am, but it was our 65th Year class reunion. They gave out a prize for the oldest member in attendance, and it was his birthday the day of the reunion and he was 84 years old. Wow!! Where has the time gone? We only had about 35 in attendance and some of them weren't in very good shape. I found out my best friends in High School are both in assisted living centers and only one of them made it to the reunion. A lot of them don't live in Utah, so they didn't travel to Salt Lake.

I think they said 140 of 540 have passed on.

The same evening we went to a church Laulau. We dressed in Hawaiian dress. The food was very good. Unfortunately, we were so tired, we didn't stay for the entertainment.

And of course I have quilted some more quilts.

Thanks for visiting.

Quilts and Penny

Riverton, Utah         High 75 Low 56

More fall like weather.

I finished two more quilts. One was embroidered bears and the other was a Kokopelli Panel quilt.

The Kokopelli quilt took quite a while to do because of all the different patterns.

The bears was faster because it was overall with the bears blocked out.

Penny was getting so shaggy that we had to get her a hair cut. She looks a lot cuter now than before.

Penny sure is afraid of noises. Last night we had a lot of lightning and thunder. She shook the whole time in spit of being held.

The first of last week Cindy got, what she thinks, was a bad cold. Of course I got it a few days later. We are mostly over it, but some of the coughing is still hanging on.

Thanks for visiting.

Canning and More Quilts

Riverton, Utah            High 87 Low 64

The weather has turned a little cooler. It is still in the high 80's, but the weather guessers are predicting highs in the 70's by the end of the week.

We spent a while bottling apple sauce. I think we ended up with about 30 pints.

Cindy has been busy in the garden, getting ready for fall. Meanwhile, I have been busy quilting. My Customer brought 4 flag quilt to quilt, and I have also been doing some of Cindy's.

The four flag quilt are almost the same size, but used different colors for the flags and backs. I have already finished two of the flag quilts for my customer, and her daughters and daughters-in-law like them so well, that they made them also.
