It is still warmer than we are used to.
The yard took a lot of work, but we are mostly finished and it looks a lot better.

It is a lot hotter here than back in Utah. We can only work for a little while at a time.
We had a long day getting here and we were greeted with lots of weeds and leaves.
We spent the next two days cleaning up all the weeds and leaves, making the place look more presentable.
We both went to bed very tired.
Penny has wanted to go to Yappy Hour every afternoon. There aren't many small dogs here yet.
This morning we went to a Craft Show at the Yuma County Fairgrounds. There were lots of vendors, but not many people when we were there.
Penny got lots of attention. One of the vendors even gave her a little bead thing. It is too long for her to wear, but it sure was nice of the lady.
Thanks for visiting.

Today wasn't too bad for weather but the weather guessers are predicting high of 56 tomorrow, So it will be a lot cooler. Freezing temperatures a week from tomorrow.
While we were in Alliance, Nebraska, we had to stop to see Carhenge. For those who may not know, a farmer planted some cars is the shape of Stonehenge. They are laid out pretty much the same direction and layout of Stonehenge. Last time we were there the cars were all painted grey. this time some of the cars have been spay painted with various colors, not unlike Cadillac Ranch. I liked it a lot better when they were grey. Even so, it is worth a stop if you ever are in the area.
We are trying to get ready to go to Yuma. If the weather co-operates we want to leave next Thursday. Then we have some appointments back here in December and Cindy wants to have another Christmas party for the kids. Lots of traveling this year.
I have been doing more quilts, but will wait for another post to show them.
Thanks for visiting.

It turned chilly today. I guess fall has finally arrived.
On our recent trip, we went through Alliance, Nebraska. We had read about Dobb's Frontier Town on Roadside America. Dobby Lee started the town from a milk house he transformed into a scaled replica of the first Alliance Post Office. Then in 1987, he started bringing in additional buildings until now there are 27 different buildings from old times.

The weather is still quite warm with the weather guessers predicting cool weather and more rain for the week-end.
The reason I say we are crazy is because we traveled almost 1900 miles to see a rest stop on I 90 in South Dakota! We wanted to see the statue Dignity of The Earth and Sky, Which is at a rest-stop in South Dakota. The first night, we stayed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The second night we stayed in Chamberlain, South Dakota, Which is almost to the Statue, Which was built in 2016. It stands about 50 feet high with her back to the Missouri River.
