Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Yuma, Arizona             High 76 Low 44

We had a quiet Christmas with 2 friends over for lunch. Cindy and I both got new shoes from My daughter.

We drove to the foothills and saw the Christmas Street. Lots of lights.

I liked Santa in his hot rod sleigh.

The next pictures are from Christmas lunch.

Our new shoes.

Penny also got a hair cut for Christmas. I didn't have them cut it as short as normal because it is still a little cool for her.

We are still busy quilting, (and buying more fabric at the Arizona Market) and I play shuffleboard 3 times a week most weeks. Cindy has been going to chair yoga and says it seems to help her back.

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

Thanks for visiting.

Christmas Light Parade

Yuma, Arizona         High 77 Low 43

The weather here has been really nice for the last while. We are enjoying the warm temperatures.

We have been getting ready for Christmas. The Park recently had a light parade one evening. Bikes and golf carts were decorated for Christmas. I think they said they had almost 40 entries. We watched it from our front yard.

Afterward they had singing and hot chocolate at the club house. We stayed for a while, but not until the end.

Thanks for visiting.

Ready For Christmas

Yuma, Arizona      High 79 Low 49

The weather has be great, no wind, warm during the day and cools off at night.

Cindy had a quilt kit she has had for a few years, and finally decided it was time to make the quilt, Except, I'm the one that got to do it. This is the first quilt I have sewn and put together by myself. I usually help and do the quilting.

We got the house decorated, Cindy did the inside and I did the outside.

Cindy had a tote full of scrap batiks. She likes to test them for color fastness. When she put them in hot water, They bled color for several washing.

Every afternoon, Penny want to go to the small dog park for Yappy Hour. One of the quilters made bandanas for all the dogs. Here is Penny with hers.

Penny also has a friend, Izzy, that lives next door. her owner gave Penny a Christmas present with

doggie treats.

The Park put on a Christmas program with an electronic Christmas tree. The also have cookies of all sorts the residences bring for the light show. We had a good time going to it.

They play Christmas music and the light move to the music, pretty neat.

Thanks for visiting.
