Covered Bridge and Deer November 8, 2013

Sutherlin, Oregon High 54 Low 39

Today started out foggy and a lot cooler than the last few days. The fog burned off by noon, and it got a little warmer. The sun even came out this afternoon for a while.

We went to see a covered bridge near to Sutherlin. It is different than most covered bridges we have seen: it is still in us. It must not be strong enough for trucks, however, with only a 5 ton weight limit. This is the first time I remember driving through one.

We had a little business in Roseburg and got it taken care of.

I saw the resident Jack Rabbit, but wasn't able to get his picture. There was a deer next door that stood and posed for us. This deer, along with the ones we saw later, did give some wildlife shots today.

We then went up to the club house for a little get together with some of the people from the Park. One man is a professional photographer, and he had some slide shows. He is very good. Sorry, I didn't get his name.

After we left the club house, there were two more deer walking around one of the trucks. They didn't want to pose for us, but Cindy did get some pictures of them.

Thanks for visiting.
