We left Bullhead City fairly early to beat the heat of the day. Cindy tried driving, and drove about 20 miles. It was long enough to go up the grade from Laughlin. She did super, by the way. It still was warm when we went through Las Vegas, so it was good we left early. We had never been to Pahrump before, so didn't know what to expect. The grade from Las Vegas is fairly steep and quite long, and the truck did heat up a little bit, but handled it OK.
When we got to Pahrump and found our RV park We were set up by noon. We are members of Coast to Coast, and I think that is why we got the space we did. There are pine trees, with shaded empty spaces throughout the park, but we were put by the side fence with no shade. I think they must give Coast to Coast RVers not quite as nice spaces as their members. But, overall the park looks fairly nice.
This is the row we are on, now look at the other spaces. |
This is what most of the park looks like, with a lot of empty spaces, but I guess this is what you get when not a member of the park. |
We stayed in Pahrump at the Escapee park. We did Death Valley from there also. Easy drive but a bit long.
