Congress, Arizona
It was cloudy but nice all day. It is a little windy tonight
and is supposed to get down to 43, but right now it is nice.
We drove from Casa Grande to Congress this morning and got
here about noon.
I drove up to the Congress Mercantile to get one of their pizzas.
They are the best we have had.
I went to see Mike
and Pat McFall early this afternoon and visited with them for a little while.
It is always good to see them.
We went to the clubhouse and listened to a Jam session. They
were very good and it was an enjoyable time.
I stopped and watch one of the campers panning for gold. The
gold he and his friend got was very tiny pieces. He told me he pays a fee to
one of the mining companies so he can get buckets of shifted gravel to get what
gold he is able to. I asked him if it was profitable and he replied that it was
his Gold's Gym: He hunts for gold and gets his workout. He said it was more of a
hobby.
We went for a walk this evening and saw a lot of the cactus
in bloom. Some were pretty spectacular, but I will have to wait until I have
better internet to post the pictures.
We will be here until Saturday morning and then are heading
back to Emerald Cove RV Resort for a few days. We are slowly heading for home.
Thanks for visiting.
Sorry I didn't read your blog sooner. We could have showed you around town.
ReplyDeleteI remember how bad our internet was at North Ranch. I don't think I could even get the blog to post even without pictures. Slowly is a good way to go if you're going north. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteCactus in bloom, we are ready for that sight. Be mihty careful in your northbound treking.
