Wet Day
Riverton, Utah High 48 Low 34
Today makes me think winter came back. This morning it was raining very hard. I hadn't loaded the trailer tires into the pickup and wanted to take the truck to the tire place, so I got wet and cold loading them. We got to the tire dealer about 9:00 this morning, and it was trying to snow. Fortunately it was more rain than snow, so the roads were wet and not slick. There is snow on the mountains, and the weather report said they could get two feet of snow.
The forecast also called for wind, with gusts up to 60 miles per hour. Maybe we should have stayed in Arizona longer. Yes, I know why we came home, taxes, new tires, and to get ready to go to Alaska. I did enjoy the warm weather. I'm sure Cindy liked the warmth also. It looks like we might be leaving a little early for Canada, but I'm ready to leave. Cindy spent most of the day working on more quilt projects and catching up on her soaps.
The tire guy told me he probably wouldn't get through with the tires today, and I didn't get a call. The aluminum should be painted by tomorrow after noon, so I should be able to pick the pieces up, and maybe get the cover on the truck. We are slowly getting things done, and getting that much closer to being ready to head North. Only a little over three weeks left till we leave.
I guess I shouldn't complain about the weather too much. One of the blogs I read, I can't remember which one, said it was -16 at their home in Canada, and they were headed for home.
Sorry, no pictures today.
