We Named Her Penny

It was a lot warmer today. We started out the day by going to the Lancaster County Information Center. The lady there showed us some don’t miss quilt stores and other shopping.

We had wanted to get a few things at Costco, and since it was right across the street from the Information Center, we went there before doing any sightseeing. When we went to leave we saw a shaded place for Amish buggies and horses, with a sign that said Horse and Buggy parking only. Only in Lancaster!               

We then went to Bird-in-hand and went to the first quilt store. There were lots of beautiful quilts hanging outside the shop and when we went inside, Cindy couldn't get over the prices of fabric. They had name brand fabric for about 2/3 of what we would pay at home for name brand fabric. Cindy wants to take some of the quilts she is working on back tomorrow to see about colors for backs.

We went to a second fabric/craft store and again they had nice fabric for a good price.

We bought some sticky buns by the Information Center that we were going to have for lunch, but instead went to the Farmers Market in Bird-in –hand and had samples for lunch instead. It wasn’t anything like I was expecting from a Farmers Market, but instead was a lot of different shops and craft stores under one roof.

We were able to get some nice tomatoes from a roadside stand.

After the Farmers Market we went to see a Morkie puppy that was advertised on the internet. She was born on June 10^th, so she is 10 weeks old. She is a sweet playful little puppy and we both liked her, so we bought her. Her name from the people was Sofie, but we decided to name her Penny because of her copper coloring and because we got her in Pennsylvania.

 We haven’t heard any barking from her, only a little bit of whimpering when Cindy didn't hold her. She did spit up a little from the car ride, but we hope that is only temporary. She came from an Amish family, so we know that is her first car ride.  Right now she is asleep in her bed by where Cindy is sitting. Just what we need, a new baby. Cindy turned on the TV, and she perked up watching it, also her first time to see TV.

I was asked about my GPS and what mode it was in. I have a Garmin dezl 560 that had an RV mode, and that is what I had it in coming to this RV Park. Today when we came home, I had it in Automobile mode, and we got to see a lot of narrow scenic roads. I’m convinced she has to be in some kind of sightseeing mode. Maybe she is just seeing if I will follow her directions no matter what. Today I was totally lost so I had no choice but to follow her.
