Drive to Balsam Cove RV Park

Orland, Maine High 75 Low 57

We had a good drive from Robbinston to Orland, Maine today. It was nice and sunny until we started to pull into the RV Park, then it started to rain. Right now it is raining lightly with lots of thunder.

Cindy managed to get some pictures on the way here.

Looking across the Bay at Bar Harbor.

These two pictures were in the town of Ellsworth.
The drive into the Park off the main Road.
We stopped for lunch at a small fast food place and had lobster rolls and onion rings. The last onion rings were better, but the lobster roll was very good.

Tomorrow we are going to see Acadia National Park, rain or shine, as this is our only chance to see it. We plan on having some more lobster.

Hopefully we get a few more pictures than today. This seems to be a fairly nice Park with nice big pull through sites. It doesn't seem to be too busy. With Passport America, the charge was $22.50 per night plus tax and we are staying 2 nights.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. All I remember about that area was very expensive RV parks. That one sounds really good.
