High On The Hog

Gordonsville, Virginia High 73 Low 59

We left the Park at Front Royal to cloudy skies. As we drove, it clear up slowly and by the time we got here the sun was shining.

We are presently at the Shenandoah Crossing Campground. It is as nice a Park as we have ever stayed in. Cable and Wi-Fi are included with the sites. Also we have a wooded site with 50 amp service.

We went exploring and there are nice rental cabins, and what looked like tents, which they call yurts.

Cindy checked out the Laundromat, and found out there is no charge to use the laundry.

There is a nice pool area and miniature golf course. There is also a stable where you can rent horses to ride.

We found a newer area with concrete pads complete with built in gas barbecues, dining table for 6, and even has a sink by the barbecue.

We also saw something we never have seen in a RV Park before; some of the sites have their own hot tub.

This Park is owned by the same people that owned the Park at Wisconsin Dells. It was really fancy also. There is a large lake in the Park where you can rent canoes and paddle boats.
We will be here four nights for a total cost of $0.00 with Coast to Coast. The fancy sites with the barbecues would have cost us $20.00 per night, but Cindy said she would rather buy material than pay for a fancy site.

There is a little sightseeing to do and probably will do some tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting.
