Cutting Material, Shuffleboard, and Flowers

Yuma, Arizona         High 87 Low 60

It's a lot warmer here. Feels like summer back in Utah.

Some of the ladies in our Park decided to make face masks for the local Hospital. Cindy went to help them and after watching them cut their blocks, she came home to get me to go and help cut them. They were tracing the blocks and cut them with scissors.

When I got there, I thought they would have been a week cutting the blocks and with my tools, I got the job done in an hour. I told them to call me if they needed any more cut.

We have been playing shuffle board and are getting fewer and fewer people every day. The few of us left think Friday will probably be our last time this season. We have been playing every other court and have been careful to try to avoid physical contact.

Cindy took her camera and took several pictures of all the flowers in bloom around the Park. We have some cactus in bloom next door to us and at other neighbors. Some of the pictures will be repeats from my last post.

We wanted to get a few things at the grocery store Monday evening, but when we saw how many cars were at Walmart and Fry's, we decided not to chance going in and came back home. We have been trying to limit our contact with lots of people.

Thanks for visiting.

  2. Wow ... your flowers are blooming like crazy. Just a hint ... cut up a piece of hepa vacuum cleaner bag for the inside of your mask (take the plastic layer out). That will keep the virus out, unlike just cotton material. Wish I was there to play shuffleboard with you!!!
