More Quilts

Riverton, Utah High 55 Low 36

Today I put more pictures of some of the more fancy quilts we saw at the show  on Saturday. Some were exquisite because of the quilting, some because of the piecing.

The people that made some of these must have spent tremendous hours making them.

This is the busiest quilt I ever remember seeing. Each different color is appliqued to the picture. Someone must have lots of time to make a quilt like this.

This quilt was designed after the Chihuley glass works. We saw the actual thing in Phoenix.

Really nice quilting.

I thought it was interesting how the quilter changed colors of thread, so the back looks almost as good as the top.

 This quilter is very talented.

This picture really doesn't do justice to this quilt. In person, the center seems to go in, although it is flat. A real optical illusion. Notice how the pieces get larger as they go away from the center.

I liked this one because of the quilting.
Some of these I really liked, some not so much. There were hundreds of quilts on display. This show is the largest we have been to. Cindy took over 500 pictures, and I have only shown a select few.

 Thanks for visiting.

  1. Lots of fancy quilts there. Pam made a couple of quilts years ago. It took a lot of work for the smaller ones she made, can't imagine how those folks put together those exotic ones.
