I May Have Goofed

Riverton, Utah High 61 Low 46

It has rained here for most of the last 2 days. I checked the weather in Woodland where we were staying and not only did they get rain, but it snowed all night and is still snowing. 2500 feet difference in elevation makes a lot of difference.

One of my readers commented about snow this time of year. I don't know exactly what year, but in the 1980's it snowed hard on the 7th of June. It probably got 4 inches of the dreaded 4 letter word in the morning, and by late afternoon, it was just a bad memory. Like they say in Utah, If you don't like the weather now, wait an hour.

I've been busy repairing sprinkler systems. We have secondary water for watering grass, and our system has a filter on it that needs to be cleaned once in a while. When the system was installed, the filter got installed pointing straight down, and I had to dig the valve box out to get to it. This has always been on of my pet peeves. This time when I dug it up, I turned the whole filter 1/4 turn so next time I wouldn't have to dig everything up. I also went to Home Depot and got an extension for the box, so the box itself wouldn't get buried.

I started one of Cindy's Christmas quilts, which is going to take a little while to get quilted. She wants some special things on it.

Now for the mistake. Cindy has been wanting a Kindle so she could read and play games as we travel. It came from Amazon yesterday, and her and Tammy spent the evening loading games on it. Then when Cindy and I went to bed, Cindy stayed awake until 1:00 AM playing games. She's as bad as the kids! lol I can only hope it's not addicting, but I'm afraid it is. This morning she was up playing her game until she had to wait to play or pay Amazon money for more time, which so far she hasn't been willing to do.

Jan asked about the Level-Ups and how I felt about them now that I have had them for a while. They really are very convenient. No more worries about whether your site is level or putting blocks under the wheels to get level. I really like having them.

That's about it for this time, thanks for visiting.

  1. I have heard that all you have to do is change the clock on the Kindle and you can keep on playing and not have to pay any money for more time - I am not a techie so I don't how to do it - but I guess others have figured out the trick - good luck - April in Texas

  2. Those electronic gadgets can really take over our lives. I know I spend way too much time on the computer.

  3. Glad you love them as much as we do. Every time we use them I have to stop and think. I always feel like we are forgetting something. Money well spent, they will keep us RVing longer as we age.
