We Had A Change Of Pace

Riverton, Utah           High 87 Low 55

It was cooler for a couple of days, but has warmed up some but still not near what Yuma is predicting, 109 for a high.

Fall is in the air and we decided to go for a drive up the canyon to see if we could see any fall leafs. We did get to see some but it is still too early for many of them to change.

We have been going stir crazy and decided to blow our good gas mileage.

We drove about 150 miles today. We started out going up one of our canyons then there is a road over the mountain that goes to Park City. The last time we were on it, it was dirt for about 15 miles but all of it has been paved and is quite a nice drive.

After we got to Park City, we decided to drive to Heber City for lunch. We went to a Mexican Restaurant and got take out and then went to the City Park to eat.

We wanted to go to a place called Granny's for a shake, but found it closed after 38 years because of the pandemic. They have gone to only being open in the summer. Too bad for us because they have the best shakes (and food around).

After Heber City we drove back home through Provo Canyon. We stopped at one of the scenic place and got some more fall color and some pictures of Bridal Veil Falls. The Falls weren't near a spectacular as in the spring when all the run-off from the snow melting is coming down.

I'm afraid that the pictures aren't the best because of all the smoke in the air from the fires all around, both in Utah and in other states which blow into Utah.

I also got a few pictures of one of Cindy's quilts, which I quilted. I still have a lot more of them to do.

At least we got out for a while.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. Another gorgeous quilt!! At least you got outside. I've run across several RV's heading your direction. Seems everyone wants to get out of California. Can't blame them. Sure is beautiful country. Keep on quilting ...

  2. Nice to get out and destress. Beautiful scenery to help you do that.
Hopefully Granny's will reopen next year.
Nice Quilt. All that work will help you pass the time.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
