Today was a laid back day.
This morning started with a walk in the gardens at the park. Here are a few pictures.
I need to practice
driving the truck since I only drove it once a year ago for about 10 minutes.
I’m a little apprehensive (well to be truthful a lot apprehensive) about my
driving class on Wednesday and Thursday. So getting use to the truck was a good
idea. We drove to Yarnell. To get there
you take Highway 89 over the mountain.
They say this is the road that was used in the film the “Long Long
Trailer” with Lucille Ball. Yarnell is a
very small town, with lots of old buildings. Ray did find a thrift store, had
to stop. He needed his yard sale fix.
Did not find anything, but he did at the library book sale. Just what we need, more books, with our 5er tire
weighing Wednesday
.
They told us this was part of the road in the Long, Long Trailer.
North Ranch Escapees Park from the top of the road.
On our way home we stopped in Congress at the Congress
Mercantile for one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. If you are ever in Congress you should stop
and visit the Mercantile
.
This afternoon was spent quilting. Tonight we walked over to the activity center to watch the woodcarvers. It seems like they have something going on all the time at this park.
End of another beautiful day.
Sunset on another gorgeous day.
Yep, we sure like their Pizza's too. Nice that you got out & about to see some of the area. All the best at your driving class........
