Christmas Party

The weather here has been warmer than usual, but still way colder than Yuma. We've only has light rain since we've been here. The sky resorts are hurting because of lack of snow.

Yesterday we had our Christmas party, which was brunch followed by games. We were expecting 30 people, but some of the great-grandkids got sick, so we ended up with only half that many. Needless to say, because of the smaller numbers, we probably have enough food left over to last us a month.

The game was a treasure hunt. In this hunt, there was a snack at each check point. Everybody had to carry a sack to hold all the treasures. Everyone had fun, especially the smaller kids.

Now to get ready to go back to Yuma. Cindy has a lot of the Christmas decorations put away. Right now, it looks like we might have good weather for traveling, a week from tomorrow. We'll see if the weather guessers are right.

Busy Quilting

It still is a lot colder than Yuma. At least it still hasn't snowed (the awful 4 letter word).

We have been busy quilting, Cindy making more, and me doing the actual quilting. We decided to do the Dignity of Earth and Sky quilt. I didn't want an over-all like in the store, so I spent a week quilting it. I think it turned out nice.

I had one of my customers call about doing a quilt for her while we are in Utah. I told her sure, bring it over. It was an easy all over, and they liked the end result.

Now we have more doctors appointments tomorrow. And we will be getting ready for the party next Saturday. We are now expecting about 30 people. Lots of fun with all the little kids.

Back In Utah

It has been cold since we've been back to Utah. We got here Thursday late afternoon. We did get here before dark. We spent the next two day unloading the truck along with putting stuff away. It probably will be cold the whole time we are here.

The evening before we left Yuma, the Park had a tree lighting program with cookies after. It is an electronic tree and is very well done.

We had an early start Thursday, and had a good drive home. We only had wet roads going over the mountain pass  north of Beaver. We did hit a lot of rush hour traffic in Utah county, but we still made good time.

Now to get ready for Cindy's Christmas party.
