Car Show And Grapes

Riverton, Utah     High 92 Low 72

It was a little cooler today, but the weather guessers are saying it will warm up again just in time for our grand-daughters wedding.

We went to a car show put on by the local Chevrolet. Guess what most of the cars were...... If you guessed Chevrolets, you were right. There were a few different kinds, but by far most were Chevs.

While we were there, Cindy saw a car she thought she might like. That is until she saw 14 miles per gallon, and the $140,000 + price tag.

It was fun to see all the old and new cars.

We have spent the last few day bottling grape juice. my fence around the grapes kept the birds away and we got about 15 gallons of grapes. We have steamers that get grape juice from them and got about 28 quarts of grape juice. It is a lot of work, picking and bottling. There are still quite a few grapes, that are hard to pick, so I'll take the net off and let the birds get the rest.

Cindy's First Tomatoes

Riverton, Utah      High 97 Low 70

It has been unusually warm her for the time of year. Also we are getting lots of smoke from all the forest fires. It is supposed to get a little cooler later in the week. Still no rain.

Cindy got her first crop of larger tomatoes.

We are still getting zucchini and cucumbers, and there are some cantaloupe starting to get big.

Our Grand-daughter has finally decided to get married. And guess where she want to hold the ceremony? Our back yard! This means we will have a lot of work to get it looking good. I have painted the fences where the white was gone and Cindy has been busy trimming different plants. We also bought quite a few flowers to make it look nice. The ceremony takes place on July 23, so we didn't get lots of notice. They are suppose to come over Saturday to help decorate and get ready.

During the heat of the day, I have been busy quilting. I have a few to put on the post.

And here are some of Cindy's pictures from the quilt show. Some are the same ones I put on the Post.

Quilt Show

Riverton, Utah        High 94 Low 69

It has been very hot here for the last while.

Cindy's tomatoes are finally starting to get ripe, along with lots of zucchini and cucumbers. She says she like the raised planter boxes, which help a lot with weeds and picking the crops.

Today we went to a quilt show, so I have lots of quilt pictures to post this time and will probably put more of Cindy's pictures next time.

We liked this water wheel, which is in the lobby of the museum where the quilt show was held.

It was hard to pick a favorite, but we both liked this I Spy quilt and the way she made it look like magnifying glasses to enlarge the center of the blocks.

Cindy think the little flowers on the small borders we hand painted on. It was a pretty intricate quilt.

Lots of really nice quilts.

Thanks for visiting.
